Brief history of J.G.S.Metalwork & Son In May 1983 John Sayer senior started an engineering company, manufacturing various parts for the automotive industry, and making decorative ironwork. After serving his apprenticeship with J.G.S. Metalwork his son, John junior, gained experience in other industries, then re-joined the company as a Partner with his father and is responsible for the manufacturing, automation and installation. Automatic Gates for Driveways and Decorative Railings We now concentrate on the design and manufacture of sliding and swing gates, as well as automatic gates for driveways, access control, wrought iron railings, balconies, and anything in decorative ironwork. We also automate existing gates. Most of our work is through recommendation and we have a good working relationship with several builders. We give free, no obligation, quotations and can sometimes superimpose a photograph to give the appearance of the project on completion. As we are a small family business we give a personal, professional and friendly service from the beginning to the end of any project, which may be from a small garden gate to a large turn-key commercial contract.
